On Saturday, we got up and headed to the Alamo Dome to register for the marathon and to pick up our bib numbers, shirts, and goodies! The registration process was very smooth and easy which is good since 30,000 runners had to go through and pick up their stuff. They had a shop to buy marathon gear and then a ton of vendors that were giving away free samples and advertising their products. We probably spent close to three hours cruising around and checking out all of the stuff!!
They had these manequins and I couldn't help but to take advantage of this photo opportunity! Here's Hailey running with her buddy!

I beat this chick at the race! :)

This is the group of runners that ran. 9 of us representing BPHS!!

Here's a few of the Alamodome with all of the people and booths.

Our favorite booth had to be the MGD tent. We got our bracelets for our free beer after the marathon and they were giving away free samples at the booth. You should have seen all of the people swarming just to get a little shot of beer!! Of course we snuck in two!!

Cheers!! We savored every drop!

Another view of the dome and vendors

After the Alamodome, we went to carb load at Spaghetti Warehouse. Then we drove around trying to find the starting line and where our drivers could drop us off before the race. That evening we went down to the Riverwalk. We couldn't go to San Antonio without going to the RiverWalk!!!
The Alamo! So cool to see at night.

Here we are in front of the Alamo. Hailey, me, Natalie, Troy, and Kendra.

We took the riverboat tour of the RiverWalk and got to hear some cool history about San Antonio and the RiverWalk. It was pretty cramped, but we got to bring a few cocktails on board. Sweet!!

One of the funniest parts of the evening was watching some contemporary dancers dance on a stage on the riverwalk. They were cracking us up. We were all trying to convince Hailey or Natalie to go and dance while it was "open stage" before their performance. We saw some pretty funky moves that might make an appearance sometime soon on a dance floor near you! :)

I'm not really sure what was going on here Hailey, but it's an awesome pic!
It's kinda hard to see in this photo, but this is where a tree was growing out of the wall.

Today was a pretty eventful and exciting day getting ready for our BIG day tomorrow!!
P.S.- today is my mom's birthday and i didn't get to spend it with her, but I did get to talk to her and they were in Kansas City gambling and eating some good food! Happy Birthday Mom!!
