January Updates!

Hello long lost blog readers! Sorry I have been MIA for months now, but I am going to try to have a few posts with monthly updates to catch up for lost time! Soooo, now I'll catch you up with a few January highlights.

We have been looking for some bedroom furniture since we sold ours in the garage sale last summer. We have been rolling with just a bed in our room for about 5-6 months and decided it was time to get some new furniture. We looked at several different places, but weren't finding anything that we liked. Then I got the bright idea to go to Haverty's. I knew this place was probably going to be a little pricey, but I at least wanted to go and check it out.
We found a set that I absolutely LOVED as soon as I saw it. It is a dark brown style with drawers underneath the bed. Then, I found out that the dresser had a few "hidden" drawers for my jewelry and I was sold and had to have it!!!
So, when the furniture was finally set to be delivered, I was pumped! Jeremy was home when the guys came to deliver the furniture. Being the nice guy that my lovely fiance is, he decided to help them unload the furniture and but it in our bedroom. Well, he grabbed a side table and went to walk through the bed frame and tripped while carrying the table and accidently dropped it and it put a HOLE IN OUR WALL!!!! OOPs!!! and he also scratched up his leg and banged up his knee pretty bad. So, now he will need to figure out how to patch this up and we will have to repaint.

Here's a pic of the damage.
YIKES!!

Here is our bed and side table. The headboard is made out of a soft brown leather.

Here is the AWESOME dresser!! It has little pop out drawers in the mirror and within the drawers for jewelry. It is sooo COOL!! Jeremy's chest of drawers is suppose to be delivered later this week.
Also in January we went to our last Bridal Show. At this point I had most of our major things booked, but we still needed to decide on flowers and caterers. Jeremy and I went around and tasted some delicious food and had some hard decisions to make. We ultimately decided on Two Brothers BBQ. I wasn't wanting BBQ b/c I'm not really a big fan, but their smoked turkey was awesome without any sauce, so we decided to go for it. Not to mentioned that it was very reasonably priced so we booked them. Below is a few of all of the vendors on the floor. It is usually CRAZY trying to get through at times and talk to vendors. It's always packed especially during their fashion shows. But, it was FUN and nice to know that we were closer to getting stuff done for the wedding.
